The y with the enormous tail stays. We change one thing only: we join the letters gently to each other so the piece is strong enough for a school day, which is the whole reason it exists.
Most people send their own name. Some send ‘Mummy’, a nickname, the first word they ever wrote down, or a few words in a hand that is no longer here to write them.
