One day they will write it neatly. This is not that day — and that is rather the point.

Send us a photo of their handwriting and we cut it, exactly as it is, into 18ct gold, 24ct gold, sterling silver, solid silver, vermeil or platinum. Every wobble stays. The letter that runs downhill stays. The y with the enormous tail stays. We change one thing only: we join the letters gently to each other so the piece is strong enough to be worn every day, which is the whole reason it exists.

Most people send their own name. Some send ‘Mummy’, a nickname, the first word they ever wrote down, or a few words in a hand that is no longer here to write them.
